Megan Orach Named Player of the Week

USC freshman forward Megan Orach has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today. Orach tied USC's single-game record for points with eight against Cal Stat Fullerton last week.

Orach recorded eight points in one half of a game last week for the Trojans. She played a part in all five of the Trojans' first-half goals, getting three goals and two assists. Her eight points tied a record that was set in 1993, USC's first year of competing in women's soccer.

The Trojans defeated Cal State Fullerton, 6-0, and tied San Jose State, 0-0, this week.

Orach now has four goals and three assists this season for a total of 11 points.

USC has won three of the four Pac-10 Player of the Week honors thus far, with Kim Clark winning on Sept. 2 and Carol Hatcher winning on Sept. 15.
