No. 1 USC and No. 5 UCLA Set to Race in Annual Dual|

LOS ANGELES - The No. 1-ranked USC women's rowing team will face No. 5 UCLA in the annual crosstown rivalry dual on Saturday, May 4, at Ballona Creek in Marina Del Rey, Calif. The Women of Troy have an undefeated 11-0 mark in the dual and USC's varsity eight has never lost against the Bruins. The teams' varsity four boats will start the day with their race at 7:45 a.m. PT.
The novice eight will race at 8 a.m., followed by the varsity eight at 8:15 a.m., the second varsity eight at 8:30 a.m., and the varsity four at 8:45 a.m. to conclude the day.
Currently the NCAA's top-ranked west region boat, the Trojans' varsity eight has never lost to UCLA's top boat at the annual dual. The top Bruin eight boat is ranked third in the region behind USC and Cal. USC's second varsity eight and varsity four boats are each ranked in the region with UCLA in fourth in the 2V8 category and third in the V4 rankings.
The Trojans are off to a fantastic start to the season. The varsity eight claimed a third straight Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic while the 2V8 won the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy, and the varsity four claimed the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup for the second time in USC's program history. The Trojans then won the team title at the Lake Natoma Invitational as the varsity eight remained undefeated in races, this season.
