    At USC:
    Michelle Taft enters her third year in the USC program and second with the varsity squad... in 2008 Taft competed with the open club eight boat at the San Diego Crew Classic, coming out of the No. 3 seat and earning a second place finish....rowed in a pair with teammate Nichole Fischbach and stroked a four plus coxswain boat at the Head of the American Regatta..in 2007, rowed stroke for the Novice Eight where she contributed to a win over LMU in the seasons' first race and only the third appearance for a Trojan novice boat in the Pac-10 Championship Grand Final.

    Rowing Highlights:
    Taft rowed with the Commencement Bay Rowing Club for four years (2003-2006)... named MVP of the CBRC women's varsity crew in 2005 and 2006.

    Michelle Suzanne Taft was born in Tacoma, Wash.... a 2006 graduate of the Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma, Wash....is the eldest of five siblings, with two sisters, Julia and Kara and two brothers, Brandon and John... played club soccer with the Nortac Football Club... names her high school coach, Kattie Baurichter as her biggest sports hero... enjoys eating seafood, sushi and Thai food... an active member of the Alpha Phi sorority... majoring in Business Administration.
