Lauren Smolenski is a junior starboard entering her third season with the Varsity team...in 2010, Smolenski rowed from the first seat for the Second Varsity Four in the SoCal Challenge...in 2009: Smolenski rowed from the bow in the Novice Eight at the Women's Open Carley Cup Grand Final as well as at the 2009 Pac-10 Championships.

Despite the fact that Smolenksi's 2009 season as a freshman novice rower was her first year in the sport, she earned the bow seat as a starboard on the novice team.

Lauren Ann Smolenski was born in San Antonio, Texas ... She came to USC after four-year career as a track and field athlete at Winston Churchill High in San Antonio, Texas...She owns her high school's record in the 200-meter dash ... She is an architecture major.
