At USC:
Simone Manhold enters her third season in the USC program... Spent the season in the stroke seat of the Varsity Eight which finished third at Pac-10s and 12th at NCAAs...A member of the 2005 11th place NCAA squad, the first team in USC history to receive a team bid to the NCAA championships...Named to the 2005 All-Pac-10 team...Rowed with the Varsity Eight in 2004... At the No. 5 seat, led crew to a third-place finish at Pac-10s and a 12th-place finish at NCAAs... Honored as 2004 CRCA All-West Region first team and CRCA All-America second team.
Personal Highlights:
Manhold is a 2003 graduate of Marienschule in Essen, Germany... Rowed with the Turnverein Kupterdreh (TVK) Rowing Club for three years (1995-98)... Rowed with the Ruderclub am Baldeneysee (RAB) Rowing Club for six years (1998-2004)... A four-time German champion with TVK... Top finishes with RAB include first place in the Eights at the 2001 German Junior Championships and a second-place finish in 2002... Competed with the German Junior National Team, leading the Eights to a third-place finish at the Junior World Championships... Also selected to the team in 2002... Her major is psychology.
