The Trojans' varsity four finished in fourth place while USC's other three boats took fifth-place finishes
2014-15 Elaine Krebs enters her senior season as a port and starboard rower for the Women of Troy.
2013-14 As a junior, Krebs rowed with the second varsity four all season and helped her boat to wins over Clemson and Louisville at the Pac-12 Challenge, and in the B Final of the San Diego Crew Classic. Krebs and the 2V4 also won races at the Lake Natoma Invitational, over UCLA in the USC-UCLA dual, and claimed first-place medals in the Collegiate 4+ event at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships.
2012-13 As a sophomore, Krebs raced with the second varsity four all season and rowed in the San Diego Crew Classic, the Lake Natoma Invitational, the USC-UCLA dual, and the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships. Her boat finished first in a tri-race against California and Stanford at the Lake Natoma Invitational, and finished second at the PCRCs.
2011-12 As a freshman, Krebs rowed out of the third seat in the novice eight and helped the Trojans to a third-place finish in the petite final at the San Diego Crew Classic. Krebs also rowed with the novice eight in the UCLA dual and at the Pac-12 Championships. The top novice eight boat finished third at the Head of the American and second at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival.
CLUB AND HIGH SCHOOL Krebs prepped at Benet Academy where she played golf for four years and served as team captain for one. She helped her golf team to the 2010 conference tournament title, and a second-place regional finish. Krebs was named to the Eastern Suburban Catholic Conference (ESCC) All-Conference team in 2009 and 2010 and was an ESCC Distinguished Student-Athlete for the 2010-11 season. Krebs was also a three-time sectional qualifier. She helped her team to a fifth-place finish in the 2010 conference tournament and a sixth-place regional finish. She was named an Illinois State Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, and received the Christian Service Senior Award.
PERSONAL Elaine Maria Krebs was born on June 7, 1993, in Ypsilanti, Mich.… parents are Jeff and Laurie Krebs… has one younger sister named Alicia (19)… uncle Miguel Hargrove played rugby at USC… enjoys sailing, surfing, and skiing among other sports and is an avid volunteer… aspires to work in science research or education… majoring in health and humanity and in pursuit of a masters of science in marine and environmental biology.
