    Women's Rowing: NCAA Championships

    The second-ranked Women of Troy completed the 2013 campaign with a program-best fourth-place finish in the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championships at Eagle Creek Park on Sunday (June 2). USC's varsity four claimed silver in the fours grand final to take the podium while the Trojans' second varsity eight enjoyed a best-ever finish of fourth place. USC's varsity eight topped off the day with a sixth-place finish in its grand final.

    Keret Einaste enters her junior season as a starboard rower with the Women of Troy.

    As a sophomore, Einaste rowed from the fifth seat of the varsity eight and helped her boat to wins over Clemson and Louisville in the Pac-12 Challenge, and a fourth consecutive win for the coveted Jessop-Whittier Cup in the San Diego Crew Classic. Her boat also earned wins over Stanford and UCLA in head-to-head duals, a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 Championships, and a sixth-place finish in the petite final of the NCAA Championships.

    As a freshman, Einaste rowed from the fifth seat of USC’s varsity eight and helped her boat to a third straight Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic, wins in the Lake Natoma Invitational, a win over UCLA in the USC-UCLA dual, and the Pac-12 Varsity Eight Championship. She also helped the V8 to a sixth-place finish in the NCAA championship grand final.

    Einaste rowed for Rowing Club Pärnu where she won the 2011 Estonian national title in the eight. In 2012, she placed third in both the straight four and the eight.
