No. 6 USC Looks To Defend 2011 Titles This Weekend
Trojans open season at San Diego Crew Classic where they won two titles last year.
At USC
Anna Janicka is a strong senior port entering her fourth year with the Trojans...In 2011, Janicka split time between the fifth and third seats on the Second Varsity Eight boat...She contributed to the teams strong third place finish at the Pac-10 Championships and fifth place finish at the NCAA Championships...Janicka also helped power the boat to wins over Clemson and UCLA...Earned Pac-10 All-Academic honors...In 2010, Janicka saw action in the fifth, sixth and seventh seats on the Second Varsity Eight...She helped the Trojans to a fourth place finish at the Pac-10 Championships and a eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships...At the SoCal Challenge rowed from the seventh seat in USC's win over Notre Dame...In 2009, Janicka rowed in the two seat in the Varsity Four at the Head of the American and at the NCAA Championships, the second Varsity Eight against Loyola Marymount, in the Charles River Challenge, against UCLA and at the Pac-10 Championships and NCAA Championships and the JV Eight at San Diego Crew Classic.

Janicka was a member of the Polish Junior National Team from 2006-2007... rowed for the Rtw Lotto Bydgostia Wsg Bp club from 2005-2008...at the Polish Senior Championships in a long distance 8K in 2007 Janicka finished in third place... at the 2006 Baltic Cup she earned a second place finish in the coxless four (2000m) and first in the coxless four (500m)... at the 2007 Munich International Regatta Janicka finished third in the eight...She was first in the eights at the 2006 Polish Junior Championships, second in the double sculls in 2007 and third in 2008...At the 2009 U23, she was first in the eights and second in the coxless fours...At the 2009 Polish Senior Championships, she was first in the coxless fours, second in the eights...At the European Club Cup, she was second twice in the coxless fours in 2009, was first in the events in 2008 and earned a first and a second in 2007...At the 2010 Senior Polish Nationals was first in the eights...Rowed at 2010 Amber Oars International Regatta in the coxless fours.

Anna Janicka hails from Bydgoszcz, Poland...a 2008 graduate of VIII High School in Bydgoszcz...twin sister Magda is a fellow sophomore rower for the Trojans...enjoys dancing, drawing and swimming.
