Golf Inks Pair Of Top Prep Players|

Annie Park, a 2011 second-team prep All-American from Levittown, N.Y., who competed at the 2012 U.S. Open, and Karen Chung, a first-team prep All-American and the No. 3 ranked junior in the country from Livingston, N.J., have signed national letters of intent, USC Women's Golf Coach Andrea Gaston announced on Thursday (Nov. 15).
Park will enter USC in January of 2013 and compete on the Trojans' 2012-13 team. Chung will enter in the fall of 2013.
Chung, homeschooled from the Zion Academy, earned 2008, 2011 and 2012 AJGA All-American first team status and was second team in 2009 and 2010 and went undefeated while representing the U.S. in the 2012 Jr. Ryder Cup. She also represented America at the 2011 Jr. Solheim Cup and competed for the East team four times from 2009-12 at the Wyndham Cup. She won back-to-back AJGA Girls Championships in 2009-10, won the 2011 Thunderbird International Junior and was the runner-up at the 2008 USGA Junior Girls Championship. She has 14 top 5 finishes in her AJGA career.
Park, who attends MacArthur High in Levittown, N.Y., is ranked as the No. 18 junior in the country by AJGA and played as an amateur in the 2012 U.S. Women's Open. Park earned her berth into the Open by finishing first at the U.S. Women's Open sectional qualifier at Trump National in Colts Neck, N.J. She represented the East team in the 2012 Wyndham Cup and became the first girl to win the 2012 Nassau Boys High School Championship (winning by six strokes). She was also runner-up at the 2012 Scott Robertson Memorial.
