Los Angeles- Kyung Kim of the women's golf team and Mace Rapsey of the men's water polo team were named USC Student-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6.

Women's Student-Athlete of the Week: Sophomore Kyung Kim, who was recently named Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Month for September, led the Trojans to a first place finish at the Windy City Collegiate Championship last week. Individually, Kim finished tied for second place with a 3-under 210 (69-68-70) and has posted five-straight rounds in the 60's to start the season, which is a school record. With two top-two finishes to start the 2013-14 season, Kim already has five top-three career finishes.

Men's Student-Athlete of the Week: Mace Rapsey scored five goals in just over 17 minutes of play in putting USC on a path to victory against No. 9 UC Irvine in USC's MPSF opener. Rapsey scored twice in the first period and twice in the second, then plugged in his fifth just 1:15 into the third to give USC an 11-2 lead on the visiting Anteaters. The Trojans would go on to beat UCI 18-7 to take a 1-0 start to conference play. Rapsey's five goals puts his career total at 99. The win puts USC at 13-1 overall and 1-0 in MPSF play and marks USC's 31st consecutive home victory.
