No. 4 USC Set For Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

The USC women's golf team, ranked No. 4 in the latest 2007 Golf World poll, heads to the Northwest for its annual trip to the 2007 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Monday through Wednesday (Oct. 8-10) at the Sahalee C.C. in Sammamish, Wash. The 16-team field includes Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, California, Long Beach State, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Pepperdine, New Mexico, Stanford, UNLV, USC, San Francisco, Washington and Washington State. Action begins with pairings at 9 a.m. on Monday and 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Wednesday's action begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. USC begins Monday with Penn State and Oregon State at 9:45 a.m. Last year, USC finished fifth with a three-day 922 (+58), which included a final-day 304, their low for the tournament. USC IN 2007-2008 Most recently, the Trojans are coming off a second-place finish at the 2007 Margaret Branch NCAA Preview at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M. Paola Moreno Senior Paola Moreno, the 2007 NCAA Championships runner-up and a 2007 All-American first teamer, tied for 52nd in USC's opening event and tied for 33rd in the Fall Preview.
