Annie Park and Doris Chen are tied for first while teammate Kyung Kim is tied for 12th after the first round of the 37th U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championships at the Jimmie Austin OU G.C. in Norman, Okla., on Monday (July 17).

Park, a rising sophomore, and Chen, a rising junior, each fired 4-under 68s to share the lead, two of just 11 players out of 156 who were under par in the first of two stroke play rounds to determine the field of 64 that advances to the match play portion of the event.

The sophomore-to-be Kim, the defending champion of the event, is tied for 12th at even 72 while Trojan incoming freshman Karen Chung is tied for 10th at 1-under.

Park, Chen and Kim were part of USC's recent 2013 NCAA team title team and all three will also play as amateurs in next week's 2013 U.S. Women's Public Open.
