USC, with victories at the Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Bruin Wave Invitational, held on to the No. 1 spot in the latest Golf World/WGCA women's Division I coaches' poll that came out Wednesday (March 13).

The Trojans earned 12 of 17 first-place votes to keep their place atop the poll for the fourth straight time and the ninth time overall since the polls were resumed in 2001-02. Only three schools have earned the top-ranking more often (Duke, 41; UCLA, 20; and Arizona State, 12). See the entire poll here.

In addition to its two recent wins, USC also won the Stanford Intercollegiate in the fall and has not finished worse than a tie for third in six outings. Freshmen Kyung Kim and Annie Park have won one event apiece while junior Sophia Popov has two top 5 finishes.

Alabama remained in the No. 2 spot, receiving two first-place votes. Last weekend the Crimson Tide posted a come from behind victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, their third victory of the 2012-13 season. Duke held on to its No. 3 position, with Oklahoma and North Carolina rounding out the top five.

USC returns to action March 31-April 2 with the SDSU Farms Invitational in Rancho Sante Fe, Calif.
