The USC women's golf team couldn't extend its school-record and national-best eight-tournament win streak to nine yesterday in New Orleans, but it did break another record when the latest Golf World/WGCA Division I coaches' poll came out today.

USC is again ranked No. 1 for the 12th time in a row, dating back to October, 2012. The Trojans are ranked in the top 5 for the 20th time in a row.

It also means this is the 64th straight poll in which USC is ranked in the top 10, breaking the longest streak of top 10 appearances for any women's program since the poll resumed in 2001-02. Duke held the previous record at 63, which ended in April of 2009. The Trojans' current top 10 streak dates back to November, 2006.

The defending national champion Trojans return to action locally Monday and Tuesday (March 3-4) when they play in the Bruin/Wave Invitational at the El Caballero C.C. in Tarzana, Calif.
