The USC women's golf team lost to Arizona State in the second round of the Hooters Women's Match Play Championship in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., but went on to defeat Michigan State in the consolation bracket on Saturday (Nov. 12).
The Women of Troy will play Arkansas to determine the Consolation B Winner on Sunday (Nov.13).
Senior Irene Cho (3 and 2) and sophomore Dewi-Claire Schreefel (2 up) posted win against the Sun Devils while junior Veronica Felibert (3 and 2) and senior Allison Schauppner (6 and 5) fell. Junior Catalina Marin's match was halved, but USC lost the teibreaker.
Against Michigan State, Cho, Schreefel and Marin posted wins.
