    Trojans Sixth After Pac-12 Preview First Day

    Junior Annie Park is tied for ninth and junior Kyung Kim is tied for 17th while the No. 3 USC women's golf team is sixth after two rounds of the Nanea Pac-12 Preview on Monday at the Nanea G.C. in Kailua, Hawaii.

    The Trojans, who came into the event with two straight first-place finishes but without senior All-American Doris Chen, finished a combined 13-over 597 (294-303). Washington leads at 9-under 575 (282-293) while UCLA is third at 1-under 583 (288-295).

    Park finished 36 holes at even after a 69 and a 77 for a 146 on the par 73 course. Her first round gives her 19 in the 60s for her career (fourth this season) and she is three shy of the school record of 22 (Sophia Popov). Kim, at 3-over 149 (74-75), is third with 18.

    Sophomores Gabriella Then (77-76) and Elizabeth Doty (78-75) tied for 30th at 7-over 153 and sophomore Karen Chung tied for 45th at 11-over 157 (74-83).

    USC was without senior stalwart Chen, who played as an amateur in the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship, where she tied for 65th.

    Final-round action Tuesday begins at 7:45 a.m. PT with a shotgun start.
