East Lafayette, Ind. - Senior All-American Mikaela Parmlid shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish with a two-over-par 223 and lead the USC women's golf team to a tie for ninth at the 2002 NCAA Fall Preview hosted by Purdue University at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.

USC shot 920 overall (56 over par) to tie with Pepperdine and Oklahoma. Arizona (889) won the team title, followed by Oklahoma State (892), Vanderbilt (901), Duke (902) and Auburn (904).

Parmlid's 223 score tied her with Nicki Cutler of Vanderbilt and Heather Zielinski of Purdue. Miriam Kraschinski of Arizona (215) won the individual title, followed by Katherine Hull of Pepperdine and Sarah Jacobs of Vanderbilt (219) and Lisa Meldrum of Oklahoma (220).

Also for USC, Rachel Bell tied for 28th (228), freshman Irene Cho tied for 35th (230), senior Becky Lucidi tied for 71st (240) and junior Anna Rawson tied for 80th (243).

USC is next in action at the Edean Ihlahnfeldt Invitational held on Oct. 7-9 in Tacoma, Wash.
