Day 1 Results

East Lafayette, IN - Senior All-American Mikaela Parmlid shot an even-par 72 as the USC women's golf team finished 13th after one round of the 2002 NCAA Fall Preview being held at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.

USC shot 20 over for the day for a total of 308. Oklahoma State shot 288, followed by Vanderbilt (290), Texas (293) and Duke (297).

Parmlid's round of 72 put her in a tie for eighth. Karin Sjodin of Oklahoma State is first after firing a 68, with Sarah Jacobs of Vanderbilt, Janice Olivencia and Celeste Troche of Auburn in a three-way tie for second at 70.

Also for USC, freshman Irene Cho is 25th (75), freshman Rachel Bell is tied for 54th (78), senior Becky Lucidi is tied for 79th (83) and junior Anna Rawson is 84th (86).

Play resumes today with the second round starting at 9 a.m.
