    Sophomore Belen Mozo fired a 3-under 69 to move from 49th to a tie for ninth to lead the No. 4 USC women's golf team in the second round of the first event of the 2007-2008 fall schedule at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship on Saturday (Sept. 15) at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.

    USC is seventh with a combined 10-over 586 after a second-round 7-over 295. UCLA is first at 12-under 564 after a second round 283.

    Mozo is now 1-under at 143 (74-69) after a seven-birdie effort that included a 2-under front 9 and a 1-under back 9.

    Freshman Lizette Salas and senior Dewi Claire Schreefel are both tied for 27th at 3-over 147. Salas had the second-best Trojan effort of the afternoon with a 2-over 74 after her opening round 73. Schreefel turned in a 76 after her first round 71.

    Freshman Joanne Lee is tied for 35th at 6-over 150 (73-77) while senior Paola Moreno is tied for 57th at 8-over 152 (76-76).

    The tournament concludes Sunday (Sept. 16), beginning at 7:30 a.m. (EST), when USC tees off with Georgia and Auburn off the first hole.
