    Sophomore Annie Park

    Sept. 10, 2013

Sophomore Annie Park fired a 2-under 68 while sophomore Kyung Kim carded her second consecutive 1-under 69 to claim a share of the individual lead as the No. 1 USC women's golf team moved into a tie for fourth overall after the second round of the 2013 Fall Preview on Tuesday (Sept. 10) at the Tulsa (Okla.) C.C.

The defending NCAA champion Trojans, riding a three-event win streak dating back to last season, are a combined 12-over 572 (288-284), three back of first-place Duke (569). Oklahoma (570) is in second with Oklahoma State third (571) while the Trojans are sharing fourth with Alabama.

The Tulsa C.C. will also serve as host for the 2014 NCAA Championships and the field includes 12 teams that finished in the NCAA top 21 last year.

Kim, who led USC with six rounds in the 60s last year, notched her second in a row to start the 2013-14 season with a 69 to move to 2-under 138 (69-69). Kim opened her round with 10 straight pars before birdies on 11 and 16 and a bogey on 17.

Park, the 2013 WGCA and Pac-12 Player of the Year, rebounded from a first-round 75 with a second-round 68 to move to 3-over 143, good for a tie for 15th. She birdied three of her first four holes and was still 1-under before sinking one more on 18.

Freshman Gabriella Then is tied for 19th at 4-over 144 (71-73), senior Sophia Popov is tied for 39th at 7-over 147 (73-74) while junior Doris Chen is tied for 55th at 10-over 150 (76-74).

Kim now has eight rounds in the 60s in her young career, half of the USC career record held by teammate Popov.

Kim is after her second career win after one last year. USC had six individual titles last year. Park had four and Popov had one as well.

    Action concludes Wednesday.
