    Park, Lee Lead USC To Open PING/ASU Invitational

    Junior Annie Park and freshman Amy Lee both carded 1-under 71s to lead the USC women's golf team during the first round of the ASU/PING Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on Friday (April 10).

    The Trojans combined for a 1-over 289, sitting seventh, five back of Arkansas and three back of second-place Duke. USC is seeking its third straight win and fifth this year in its final regular season event.

    Park and Lee are tied for 14th, each posting four birdies during their first rounds. Both were 1-under on the back 9.

    Senior Doris Chen, in her spring semester debut, is tied for 29th at 1-over 73, along with junior Victoria Morgan, playing individually.

    Sophomores Karen Chung and Gabriella Then are tied for 41st at 2-over 74.

    Action continues Saturday and Sunday.
