    Tucson, Ariz. - The No. 9 USC women's golf team shot 308 on Monday and is in eighth place after one round of the Arizona Invitational held at Arizona National Golf Course.

    Arizona State leads with a score of 290, followed by Pepperdine (294), Vanderbilt and Arizona (297) and UCLA (299).

    Freshman Tanya Dergal is the leading Women of Troy golfer, though she is competing as an individual. Dergals shot a 73 and is tied for 10th overall.

    Senior Becky Lucidi leads the scoring for USC with a 75 to tie for 24th. Juniors Rachel Bell and Anna Rawson are tied for 37th (77), senior Mikaela Parmlid is tied for 47th (79) and freshman Irene Cho is tied for 79th (83).

    Erin Tone of Arizona State leads with a 68, while Erica Blasberg of Arizona is second with a 69.

    The tournament continues Tuesday with a second-round shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
