Daniel Griffin is in his second year as Golf Operations Coordinator for the USC Golf Program. His duties include operations, alumni relations, fundraising and marketing as it concerns the Trojan golf program. Griffin comes to USC with extensive experience in athletics, academics and the business world. He most recently spent three-and-a-half years as a business consultant for the Southland Corporation. Prior to that, he worked in management at Hertz and as an academic advisor in the Idaho State Office of Enrollment Planning.
Griffin has an undergraduate degree in public relations/advertising as well as a masters in athletic administration from Idaho State, where he was also a six-time Big Sky Conference champion and NCAA and Olympic qualifier as a member of the track team (he ran the 200m and 400m dashes). Following his track career, Griffin spent one season as an assistant track coach for the Bengals. A native of Chicago, Griffin, 30, prepped at Eldorado High in Las Vegas, where he lettered in football, basketball and track. His hobbies include music and sports. He is single.
