Women's Rowing Makes Strong Showing At Head of Charles Regatta
Trojans finish fourth overall and first among collegiate teams.

BOSTON, Mass. -- USC women’s rowing finished fourth overall, and first among collegiate boats in the Championship Eight Division of the 1999 Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, October 24. Held in Boston, Mass., the event was the first Fall competition for the Women of Troy this season.
Competing against 64 collegiate and international teams, USC finished behind three national teams. Rowing Canada won the event with a time of 16:31 followed by United States Rowing (16:32) and the Danish National Team (16:36). The Trojans finished with a time of 17:06, 12 seconds ahead of Virginia (17:16), the second-place collegiate team.
USC’s Charles Eight lineup included Lisa Bartoli (coxswain), Amelia White (port), Annelisa Gross (starboard), Amy Pearce (port), Marketa Vochoskova (starboard), Zoe Hoskins (port), Rebecca Moneymaker (starboard), Alzbeta Lorinczova (port) and April Hudlett (starboard). The team’s next race will be at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival in Newport Beach, Calif. on November 7.
