Los Angeles, CA -- Malora (Lori) Guerrero, a former USC rower and assistant coach, has returned to the Women of Troy program as an assistant, head coach George Jenkins announced today.

Guerrero spent the past two seasons (1998-2000) as an assistant coach at Miami. She assisted with the varsity crew coached the women's novice program.

Prior to joining the Hurricane staff, Guerrero spent the 1997-98 season as an assistant coach for the Women of Troy. During that time, she was responsible for assisting the varsity and novice programs, and handling the recruiting, training and academic advising.

Guerrero also spent a year (1997-98) as a rowing instructor at the Los Angeles Athletic Club where she taught fundamentals and designed a weekly conditioning workout on the ergometer for club members.

As a member of the USC varsity women's crew team from 1993-97, Guerrero was honored as a two-time All-Pac-10 selection (1996 and 1997). She was a Dean's Scholar and the recipient of the 1996 Kathleen Mika Memorial Scholarship for excellence in athletics, academics and community service.

Guerrero graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 1997. She replaces Amy Osborne who was named head coach of the Lewis & Clark College rowing program in July.
