Marketa Vochoskova enters her fourth year as an active member of the USC varsity program... A 2003 team captain... Rowed with the Varsity Eight in 2002 in the No. 4 seat... Crew finished fifth at Pac-10 Championships and eighth at NCAAs... A 2002 Pac-10 All-Academic first team pick... Rowed with the Varsity Eight in 2001 in the No. 6 seat... 2001 V8 squad won the Jessop Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic and finished fourth at the NCAA Championships... Did not complete the 2000 season due to an injury and was granted an extra year of eligibility... Rowed with the Varsity Eight in 1999... She placed sixth in the world and second among collegiate rowers at the 1999 C.R.A.S.H.-B Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, Mass., as a freshman.

Vochoskova is a 1993 graduate of SPSO-Designer in Trebon, Czech Republic... In 1996 she was named the Best Rower of the Czech Republic... A four-year member of the Czech Women’s National Team and a three-year Junior National Team member... Has competed at the Junior World Championships in Scotland (1996) and Belgium (1997), the World Rowing Championships in Germany (1998), and the World Indoor Rowing Championships (1998, 1999) where she finished second in 1999... A 10-time Czech national champion... Her father, Vaclav, won two Olympic medals in rowing: a bronze in quadruple sculls in Montreal in 1976 and a bronze in double sculls in Moscow in 1980... She lists her father as her greatest sports hero, hoping to one day follow in his success... Vochoskova is a German language major who aspires to speak five languages fluently.
