At USC:
Ivelina Boteva enters her fourth active season with the USC rowing team... Rowed with the varsity eight in 2001 in the No. 1 seat... 2001 V8 squad won the Jessop Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic and finished fourth at the NCAA Championships... Did not row with the Trojans in 2000 (redshirted) and spent the year with the Bulgarian national team... She rowed with the varsity eight in 1999 and the fours in 1998... Finished fourth in the world and first among collegiate rowers at the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, Mass., in February, 1999... She was a member of USC’s NCAA Champion Fours in 1998... Set a junior world record for 2,000 meters on the ergometer (6:37.9) at the World Indoor Rowing Championships during her freshman year.
Personal Highlights:
Boteva is a 1997 graduate of Uzunov Sports High in Rousse, Bulgaria... An eight-time winner at the national championships of Bulgaria and a three-time winner at the Balkan Championships... She finished third at the World Junior Championships in 1997... She was also a member of the Bulgarian Junior National Team for four years... A psychology major.
