The USC sand volleyball program held its Alumni Tournament last Saturday at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica. The tournament featured teams consisting one current player and one Alumni player.
"This is a great day for the inauguration for our team," said USC sand volleyball head coach Anna Collier. "We have some alumni here and the girls are getting a chance to play with April Ross, who should represent the United States in sand volleyball for the 2012 Olympics in London. I'm shocked at how well our current team members are playing right now. They have shown great improvement from when we first started. This has been a fun event and we plan on making this bigger every year."
Alumni players included April Ross, Katie Olsovsky, Sara Peterson, Jeanne Vetter and Antoinette Polk.
USC is preparing for its inaugural season in the spring of 2012.
