Cody Kessler lit up the scoreboard at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in a 49-14 victory over Notre Dame.  The Fighting Irish couldn't stop the Trojan passing game as Kessler led the attack with 372 yards and six touchdowns. The redshirt junior also set a career-high with 32 pass completions out of 40 attempts.

Kessler connected with junior wide receiver George Farmer on two occasions, including a 48-yard bomb early in the first quarter. Going into halftime Kessler threw for five touchdowns, which ties the school record for most in a half, matching his effort against Colorado on Oct. 18 (as well as others by Matt Barkley and Mark Sanchez). Overall, Kessler's six touchdown passes is the most ever in the 85-game rivalry between USC and Notre Dame.

Trailing by five at halftime, Vaioletama came through with some crucial second-half points, including a bucket that broke a 40-40 tie with 8:25 remaining. Vaioletama finished the game with 11 points as the Trojans wound up winning 64-57 in the comeback road win. Vaioletama was named Tournament MVP, and USC now has a five-game winning streak.
