Women of Troy Welcome Visitors For A Wednesday Thanksgiving Dinner|
Nov. 21, 2012
In conjunction with the Trojan Athletics Parents Association and in the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, USC women's basketball will be holding a dinner for local families in the USC community. The Women of Troy are inviting 500 guests to eat dinner and enjoy the women's basketball game vs. Arkansas State on Wednesday (Nov. 21).
USC has reached out to the many local shelters to join the holiday event. The Trojan Family will welcome attendees from the Union Rescue Mission, Downtown's Women's Shelter, Upward Bound, LA Family Housing, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), YMCA of East Los Angeles, and families from USC Family of Schools. Due to the limited resources of these organizations, USC is providing transportation to and from the Galen Center.
A special thanks to John Whitcombe of the USC Athletic Board of Counselors. His financial support towards community outreach and volunteering efforts has made this event possible.
