    Alexyz Vaioletama Helps USA All-Star Team Win Four Nations Title In China

    Alexyz Vaioletama averaged 11.3 ppg for the USA All-Stars in a trip through China.

    USC standout Alexyz Vaioletama was selected as a member of a USA Women’s All-Star team for a nine-game tour through China, and the recent Trojan grad was instrumental in helping the U.S. squad win the title in the Four Nations Tournament. The team played in three different cities in China during July, playing three games in each town and coming away with only one loss. Vaioletama was named to the All-Tournament Team a the close of the trip after finishing off the tourney with 10 points scored against host China to help secure the title in Shenzhen.

    Vaioletama was one of three players on the roster who hail from the Pac-12, and the Trojan was the top producer out of that trio. Joining Vaioletama on the U.S. team were Deanna Weaver (Boise State), Keani Albanez (Gonzaga), Keena Mays (SMU), Stephanie Lee (Northern Colorado), Ariel Thomas (Oregon), Cierra Warren (San Diego State) and Joy Burke (Arizona State).

    Vaioletama averaged 11.3 points per game on the trip, topping out with a 21-point performance in an 88-82 win over Denmark to set up the battle with China for the Four Nations title.
