As the 2013 WNBA season gets underway, Trojan fans will have the chance to watch four different Women of Troy playing on four different WNBA teams around the nation. Former Trojans locked in on rosters for 2013 are Briana Gilbreath (Phoenix Mercury), Ebony Hoffman (Los Angeles Sparks), Shay Murphy (Chicago Sky) and Tina Thompson (Seattle Storm).

Thompson is not only the veteran of the bunch, she stands as the lone payer remaining from the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997 as she now enters her second season with the Storm. Thompson also was a teammate of fellow former Trojan and current USC head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke when the two played for the Houston Comets. A 2004 USC grad, Ebony Hoffman, meanwhile, is entering her 10th season in the WNBA and third season with the Sparks.

Shay Murphy is on her way into her seventh season in the WNBA, rejoining the Sky for back-to-back seasons. Briana Gilbreath is the relative newcomer of the crew, going into her second season in the WNBA as a recent signee for the Mercury, whom she joined last season.

All four Women of Troy earned All-American status during their time at Troy. Thompson was a 1997 All-American; Hoffman earned honors in 2003 and 2004; Murphy was a 2007 All-American honorable mention pick; and Gilbreath also earned honorable mention in 2011. The foursome also share space on a few USC career charts. The USC all-time scoring lists boasts No. 5 Thompson (2,248 career points), No. 8 Hoffman (1,687), No. 9 Gilbreath (1,608) and Murphy (1,492). On the all-time rebounding list, Thompson ranks No. 5 all-time, with a tight group of Hoffman at No. 7, Gilbreath at No. 8 and Murphy at No. 10 in USC history.
