Women Of Troy Celebrate Championship Legacy On Sunday|
Feb. 14, 2013
The USC women's basketball program welcomes back Women of Troy of all walks of life this weekend for USC's February 17 Legacy Game at Galen Center. USC will honor its 1983 and 1984 NCAA Championship teams by hanging banners in a halftime ceremony during USC's 2 p.m. clash with No. 6 California. USC alumnae from throughout the Trojans' storied history also have been invited back to Troy to also be honored during the game.
It's been 30 years now since USC won its first NCAA women's basketball championships, and plenty of members from that 1983 team and the 1984 championship team will be in attendance to be honored in a halftime ceremony raising championship banners from USC's back-to-back title runs. Former head coach Linda Sharp will be joined by her 1983-84 players Paula McGee, Cheryl Miller, Melissa Ward, Rhonda Windham and more.
A star-studded group of Women of Troy alums will also be in the mix to be honored as well for their roles in USC's basketball legacy. Keep an eye out for Trojan greats Kimberly Gibson, Karon Howell, Nicky McCrimmon, Tammy Story, Adrain Williams and many, many more this Sunday!
So if you're an alum, a fan, or both, please come join your Women of Troy at 2 p.m on Sunday (Feb. 17) at Galen Center!
USC women's basketball alums are asked to please contact USC assistant coach Evan Unrau to get signed up for the event and to join in the pregame, in-game and postgame events that the Women of Troy have planned for you! Contact her at email@example.com
