    LOS ANGELES - Ariya Crook of women's basketball and Dewayne Dedmon of men's basketball were named USC Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday, Jan. 14 for the week of Jan. 7-13.

    Women's Basketball: USC sophomore Ariya Crook set new career highs in two big wins for the Trojans this week, helping USC to its best conference start since 2004-05 in going 4-0 to start Pac-12 play. Crook hit a career best six 3-pointers and had five assists in USC's 81-72 win over Washington, and then had a career-high nine rebounds and a new career high of six assists against Washington State. Crook also came through with the winning heroics from the free-throw line, hitting both her shots with 0.8 second on the clock to lift USC to a 61-59 win over the Cougars. That also set a new career high for Crook, as she finished 8-of-10 from the free-throw line to help get USC its fourth consecutive victory. All of Crook's points from the floor came from beyond the arc, as she notched a total of eight 3-pointers in the USC wins.

    Men's Basketball: Junior forward Dewayne Dedmon helped the Trojans pull of a road split this week and end a 14-game road losing streak by averaging 11.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in the two games. In the six-point loss at Colorado, Dedmon just missed out on his second consecutive double-double by going for 10 points and nine rebounds. Then at Utah, he made it two double-doubles in three games by grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds and scoring a season-high 13 points. He also had 5 blocked shots against the Utes.
