STANFORD, Calif. (AP) Lili Thompson and Briana Roberson, removed from starting lineup in a shakeup after two losses last weekend, combined for 27 points to lead No. 19 Stanford to a 79-60 win over Southern California on Friday night.

The lineup change paid off as the Cardinal (18-7, 10-3) shot 55.2 percent with Thompson scoring 14 points and Roberson 13. Amber Orrange also had 13 and Bonnie Samuelson hit four 3-pointers for 12.

Alexyz Vaioletama led four in double figures with 14 points for the Trojans (13-11, 5-8), who trailed 38-27 at the half. Kaneisha Horn had 10 with 11 rebounds.

After losing two games in Arizona, Stanford dropped to its lowest ranking since Jan. 9, 2001, when the Cardinal were No. 24. To avoid the first three-game losing streak since they were ranked 24th, Erica Payne and Jasmine Camp made their first career starts, both hitting they only shot they took for two points each.
