2003-04 Freshman Season
Henderson made three appearances as a freshman, playing against San Diego (Dec. 13) and twice against Washington State (Jan. 11 and Feb. 5)... Averaged three minutes per game... Elected to transfer following her freshman season.
High School
Henderson is a 2003 graduate of Redmond (Wash.) High... She lettered three years in basketball... Helped lead team to the Class 4A semifinals and the KingCo League championship as a senior... A 2003 McDonald's all-state honoree... As a junior, she helped lead her team to a second-place conference finish and was named to the Seattle Times All-KingCo second team and Eastside King County Journal all-area honorable mention team (an honor she also received as a sophomore)... A two-time team MVP (2001, 2002) and three-time Redmond Scholar-Athlete (2001, 2002, 2003)... Played club basketball with the Seattle Magic for four years (1997-2000) and the Puget Sound Flight (2001-2002) for two years... 2002 team finished 17th at AAU Nationals, third place at the Oregon City Tournament and repeated as Pacific Northwest Champions (won in 2001 and 2002)... 2001 club team placed fifth at BCI Nationals and won the Oregon City Tournament Championship, at which she was named to the all-star team... Garnered Redmond High's President's Award as a senior and the Outstanding Student Award as a junior and senior.

Katherine Jane Henderson was born on Feb. 7, 1985, in Bellevue, Wash. ... The daughter of Bob and Margie Henderson, she has two sisters, Lizzy (21) and Amy (29), and one brother, Todd (33)... Lists Sheryl Swoops and Sue Bird as her biggest sports heroes due to their hard work, dedication to the game and heart... Enjoys playing the guitar... Wants to spend two years traveling the world to see everything following graduation... Her major in undeclared, but she is interested in the fields of design and nutrition.
