    Toting 11 career double-doubles, Briana Gilbreath enters her final season at USC with a proven artillery of skills and all-around talent to provide a spark on both ends of the court for the Trojans.

    2010-11 JUNIOR SEASON
    Gilbreath continued to add to her decorated USC career in her junior season, becoming the first Trojan since 1997 to be named an AP All-American, earning AP All-America Honorable Mention... Scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 22, becoming the 22nd Trojan to hit the mark... Named to All-Pac-10 Team and Pac-10 All-Defensive Team... Selected to WNIT All-Tournament Team... First Trojan since 1997 to earn multiple Pac-10 Player of the Week awards in a season, picked on Nov. 15 and Dec. 6... Named Women of Troy Basketball Tournament MVP... Ranked No. 2 in the conference in steals (2.5 per game), fourth in blocks (1.4 bpg), fifth in defensive rebounds (5.0 pg), seventh in scoring (14.4 ppg) and ninth in rebounding (7.3 rpg)... Led team in scoring, rebounding, steals and blocks... Had seven double-doubles in the season... Set new career highs with 26 points scored vs. Xavier and Oregon and 14 rebound vs. Quinnipiac... Scored in double figures in 28 games... Had a career-high eight steals vs. ASU on Jan. 29... Hit a career-high four 3-pointers at Xavier on Dec. 2... Appeared in all 37 games and started 36...     2009-10 SOPHOMORE SEASON
    Gilbreath was named Pac-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year... Also selected to All-Pac-10 Team and Pac-10 All-Defensive Team... Team leader in rebounding, blocks, steals and second scoring and assists, averaged 15.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.6 blocks per game... Appeared in and started all 31 games... Had a career-high 12 rebounds against Oregon on Jan. 30 and a career high five steals against oregon on March 12... Had a career-high eight assists vs. Arizona on March 4... Scored in double figures in 21 games... Recorded two double-doubles (21 pts, 10 rebs vs Long Beach State; 18 pts, 12 rebs vs Oregon)... Named to the Pac-10 Media All-Pac-10 Team and the Pac-10 Media All-Pac-10 Defensive Team... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.

    2008-09 FRESHMAN SEASON
    Gilbreath was the only Trojan to start all of USC's 32 games this season... Team's third leading scorer (10.5 ppg) and top rebounder (5.4 rpg) and leader in steals (1.6 spg)... Also averaged 1.8 assists and 0.9 blocks per game... Became first Trojans since Tina Thompson in 1994 to be named the 2009 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year... Other all-conference honors included All-Pac-10 Third Team, Pac-10 All-Freshman Team and Pac-10 Defensive Honorable Mention... Also named to the Women of Troy Classic All-Tournament Team... Scored in double figures in 19 games, including a 22-point game vs. Harvard and 21 points at Cal... Tallied two double-doubles, getting 10 rebounds and 15 points at Arizona and 10 rebounds and 21 points at Cal... Set a career high with four blocks at Oregon.

    Gilbreath was a 2008 McDonald's All-American and a four-time All-District first team pick out of Cinco Ranch High in Katy, Texas... A 2008 Nike Skills All-American, Wooten Award finalist, Parade Third Team All-American and EA Sports First Team All-Amerian and earned WBCA High School All-American honorable mention... Selected to PrepTicket.com's All-Houston First Team... Averaged 14.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 4 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game... Named to several all-state and Houston Chronicle all-area teams... As a junior, named to 18-5A All-District First Team and TABC All-Region Team... A member of the 2007 USA Basketball Un der-18 Olympic Junior Development Team... With club team West Coast Elite, reached Junior Nationals Final Four and Nike Nationals semis in 2007...     Briana Renee Gilbreath was born Aug. 16, 1990 in Houston, Texas... The daughter of Wardell and Audrey, she has one sister, Stefanie, who also plays for USC... Her father was a track and field athlete at Arizona... Enjoys cooking, reading, shopping and sewing in her free time.. Names Scottie Pippen as her biggest sports hero... Would like to one day go snowboarding and travel to Italy, Brazil and Germany... Hopes to play in the WNBA after graduation... Majoring in human performance.
