Campbell's 23 Points Lead Trojans Past Beavers

LOS ANGELES - USC's Michelle Campbell and Tina Thompson combined for 44 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Trojans past visiting Oregon State 85-72 Friday night at the Lyon Center.

Campbell's game-high 23 points led USC (13-4 overall) to its seventh Pacific 10 Conference win of the season, leaving them with a 7-1 mark while Oregon State fell to 9-8 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

USC used a strong second half to pull away from Oregon State, which stayed close to the Trojans throughout the first half. The Beavers, who were within a bucket at halftime (29-27), were outscored 56-45 in the second half as the Trojans offense proved too strong.
