    Louisiana Tech Races Past USC

    RUSTIN, La. -- Alisa Burras scored a team-high 20 points as third-ranked Louisiana Tech defeated the University of Southern California 66-47 in the championship game of the Dial Soap Classic in Louisiana this evening.

    Tina Thompson finished with a game-high 25 points to lead the Trojans, who shot just 29 percent from the floor in the game. Thompson was the lone USC player to finish in double figures.

    USC, which fell to 2-1 with the loss, returns to the floor on Friday night (5 p.m.) when it takes on Colorado State in the UC Irvine tournament.
