The Road to the 2009 Women's Final Four Begins at Troy

For the second time in three years, USC's state-of-the-art home to basketball and volleyball has been selected host for the 2009 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds. Four teams will post up at USC's Galen Center on March 21 and 23, 2009, battling for the right to move on in prestigious NCAA action.

Pairings and game times were announced Monday, March 16 on ESPN. Receiving tickets to the postseason play at the Galen Center are No. 4 seed California playing No. 13 seed Fresno State at 5 p.m. on March 21 and No. 5 seed Virginia facing No. 12 seed Marist a half-hour after the conclusion of the first game. Saturday's winners will face at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

First Round - Saturday (March 21)
Game 1: No. 4 California (25-6) vs. No. 13 Fresno State (24-8) -- 5 p.m. PT
Game 2: No. 5 Virginia (23-9) vs. No. 12 Marist (29-3) -- approx. 7:30 p.m. PT
