Basso Named MPSF Player of the Week
Senior driver scored five points in water polo team's season-opening win.

Sept. 14, 1999

LOS ANGELES - Senior driver Allen Basso was named the season's first MPSF Men's Water Polo Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

Basso scored five points, including a pair of two-pointers, in No. 1 USC's season-opening 9-8 victory over Long Beach State last week.

This weekend, USC hosts UC San Diego on Friday (Sept. 17) at 3 p.m., then hosts the Southern California Tournament on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 18-19).
