USC Men's Water Polo Downs UCSB

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The USC Trojans showed UCSB why they are ranked second in the nation by gliding past the Gauchos in men's water polo action Sunday at the Campus Pool, 8-3.

USC got on the board first on a goal by James Castle, and never looked back. The Gauchos trailed 4-1 at halftime, but pulled within two goals when Eric Scholten tossed in his second goal of the game midway through the third quarter. However, that was the last Gaucho score, and USC sealed the victory with two fourth quarter goals by Sean Hylton, who led all scorers with four goals.
