    Men's Water Polo Defeats No. 8 UC San Diego

    LOS ANGELES -- The No. 2 USC water polo team put together a dominant performance, led by senior driver Simun Cimerman's four points, and routed No. 8 UC San Diego, 14-5, on Saturday at the McDonald's Swim Stadium.

    USC improves to 13-4 overall, while UC San Diego falls to 10-10.

    Cimerman scored a two-pointer just 24 seconds into the game and scored all four of his points as the Trojans built a 9-0 lead just before halftime. The Tritons finally got on the board with three seconds left in the first half on a goal by Romas Kudirka.

    In the second half, the Trojans extended their lead to 14-2 before UC San Diego came back with the game's final three points.

    USC travels to UC Santa Barbara on Sunday (Nov. 2) for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at noon.
