LOS ANGELES - Daniel Lontay, Ivan Babic and Gadi Hadar scored two goals each to lead the No. 4 USC Trojans to a 9-7 victory against the No. 7 UC Irvine Anteaters in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at McDonald's Swim Stadium. USC won its fifth straight match and improved to 10-5 overall on the season and 5-2 in MPSF play. UC Irvine falls to 4-10 overall and 1-5 in MPSF play.

USC held a 4-3 lead at halftime, but opened the second half with goals in the first minute by Hadar and James Shin. The Trojans held a 9-4 lead in the fourth period and had to hold off a late rally as UC Irvine scored three straight goals.

USC travels to California for another MPSF match next Saturday (Nov. 10).
