PALO ALTO, Calif. - The No. 1 Stanford men's water polo team captured a 7-5 victory over No. 3 USC in a non-league game on Sunday at deGuerre Pool.
Sean Joy's two-pointer with 1:16 left in the game gave the Cardinal a victory over the Trojans for the third time in four games this season.
Joy scored four points, while Allen Basso and Peter Janov each had two for USC.
The game was tied five times before Joy's game-winning two-pointer.
