SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Thanks to four points from senior driver Allen Basso, the No. 2 USC men's water polo team defeated UC Santa Barbara, 10-5, on Saturday in Santa Barbara in an MPSF matchup.
USC improved to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the MPSF.
Though the Gauchos grabbed a 3-2 lead after one quarter, USC came back to take a 6-4 lead at halftime.
Other goal-scorers for USC included James Castle with two and Johnathon Hewko, Adam Guerrero and Stever O'Rourke and Peter Janov with one each.
Goalie Richard McEvoy made eight saves.
