THIS SEASON: Vranes returns as a senior with size, strength and a powerful shooting arm for USC.
2007: Vranes scored 16 goals as a junior... Struck in 11 games with four multiple-goal efforts... Led team in scoring with a hat trick against LMU at the SoCal Tournament... Earned Academic All-MPSF honors.
2006: Vranes was the fourth leading scorer with 32 goals as a sophomore... Named MPSF Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 20 after scoring a career-high four goals in an MPSF win over Cal... Had eight multiple-goal games... Earned All-America Honorable Mention and named to All-MPSF Third Team. 2005: Vranes scored 10 goals as a freshman... First goal came against Redlands... Scored in eight games, including a pair of two-goal games against Occidental and Santa Clara.
HIGH SCHOOL: Vranes was named to the All-CIF Southern Section third team and Sea View League first team... Named Orange County Register Player of the Week... Newport Harbor (Calif.) High team reached CIF Division I quarterfinals his senior season... Played club for WPC Partizan in Serbia... Team won Yugoslavian National Championship seven times and the age-group National Cup six times.
