THIS SEASON: Tim Leong enters his second season of competition at USC.
2016: Leong scored three goals as a redshirt sophomore... First career goal was in a win over Whittier on Sept. 11... Scored in three games... An MPSF Scholar-Athlete, also earned ACWPC All-Academic honors.
2015: Leong played but did not score as a redshirt freshman.
2014: Leong redshirted his first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Leong played water polo and soccer at Iolani High in Honolulu, Hawai’i... In water polo, won league championships in his freshman and senior seasons... Was named to the all-league first team as a junior and was named the 2013 league Player of the Year as a senior... In soccer, was a member of the 2014 league and state championship team as a center back... Team went undefeated in 2014... A two-time league Defensive Player of the Year...Named to Honolulu Advertiser’s All-State first team in 2013 and 2014... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Leong is majoring in business administration with an emphasis in cinematic arts... Parents are Kelii and Raquel... Has one brother, Daniel, who is also on the USC men’s water polo team... His father Kelii and uncle Keona also played water polo at USC... His grandfather Thomas earned his masters degree in anthropology at USC... Enjoys playing soccer, surfing, spearfishing and watching movies in his free time... Lists Carles Puyol as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to go to the World Cup... Hopes to travel to Spain, Germany and Australia... Hopes to pursue a career in the film industry... Born June 29, 1995.
