    THIS SEASON: Sterling has emerged as a dangerous scoring threat for the Trojans, returning to the pool for his third season of action.

    2008: Sterling scored 21 goals as a redshirt sophomore... Scored in 15 games with five multiple-goal outings... Matched career high with a big three-goal game against Cal on Nov. 8.

    2007: Sterling scored four goals as a redshirt freshman... Set a career high with three goals against UC Santa Cruz.

    2006: Sterling redshirted his first season at USC.

    NATIONAL TEAMS: Sterling was training with the U.S. Junior National Team and has been a member of the U.S. Youth National Team.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Sterling was named state MVP as a senior at Mercer Island High, finishing his career with four state titles... Named a first team All-American at the 2004 Junior Olympics after his Washington Water Polo Club team won silver... Earned academic honors as a member of the 2006 National Honor Society.
