HIGH SCHOOL: Meinen received All-CIF honorable mention as a senior... Named to Avocado League third team and the San Diego All-Star Team as a senior... Swam all four years in high school, named to all-league first team as a senior... Scholar-athlete all four years at Carlsbad (Calif.) High.. Named Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior... Played club for Carlsbad Water Polo, which placed fifth at the 2003 Junior Olympics.
